Snow Peaks Aid Stations/ Cut-off Time/ Drop Bags/Pacers

AID, CUT-OFF TIMES, DROP BAGS, and Pacers/Crew:

Aid Stations:

  • Aid station 1 – mile 5.5 – Hope Campground
  • Aid Station 2 – mile 10.8 – Rock Canyon
  • Aid Station 3 – mile 14.6 – Horse Mountain
  • Aid Station 4 – mile 20.9 – Pole Heaven
  • Aid Station 5 – mile 26 – Hobble Creek
  • Aid Station 6 – mile 29.9 – Sheep Canyon
  • Aid Station 7 – mile 33.5 – Little Valley
  • Aid Station– mile 40.5 – Windy Pass
  • Aid station 9 – mile 46.5 – Big Springs
 

Cut Off:

There is a 3:00 PM cut-off time at AS #7 (Little Valley). This is a safety cut-off to allow runners enough time to get through the back country and up and over Windy Pass, the most difficult part of the course.


Drop bags:

Drop bags need to be dropped off at the start line by 4:45 AM.

Allowed Aid Stations: 3-7 & 9. No drop bags allowed at Windy Pass. 
**Note Aid Station 7 (Little Valley) – For logistical reasons, drop bags must not exceed the size of a 2-gallon freezer bag.
There will be signs labeled with Aid Station names at the start to place drop bags.

 

Pacers & Crew:

Pacers: can meet runners anywhere along the 3.5 mile paved road between the end of dirt road (KHYV Rd. / Old Squaw Peak RD) and before Hobble Creek AS#5.
**PLEASE DO NOT block driveway or road, you need to be completely off the road.

No Crew Allowed –
Aid Stations 1 – 4, 6 & 8.
(Aid Station 6 Sheep Canyon if your crew drives up the dirt road from AS #6 you can be DQ’d from the race).
Crew Allowed –
Aid Station 5 – mile 26.05 Hobble Creek
Parking is very limited you, crew needs park completely off the road. DO not block any driveway or other roads. Please do not set up shade structure, lawn chairs etc on the road. This is a road open to the public. If your crew creates an issue with traffic flow you could be DQ’d.
Aid Station 7 mile 33.5- Little Valley – **Note not recommended – 4×4 only with good clearance.
A/S 9 – Big Springs – mile 46.53.2 miles up South Fork Provo Canyon from the start finish area This is the small paved road that goes on up past/through Vivian Park to the Forest Access Road and Big Springs Park on your right- please drive slow and be careful of runners on the road. When you enter the park look for the aid station set towards the top of the park (exact location can change year to year) Park only designated parking spaces.
